Tragic news has emerged regarding the sudden passing of popular YouTuber 'Dae Do-gwan' (real name Na Dong-hyun). Authorities were dispatched to his residence on the 6th following a report from an acquaintance who couldn't reach him, and sadly, he was found deceased. No suicide note or signs of foul play were discovered at the scene. Police suspect the cause of death to be a pre-existing medical condition, especially in light of recent reports of him experiencing chest pain.

The unexpected death has sent shockwaves through the online community and beyond. This is particularly surprising as Dae Do-gwan was actively engaged in public appearances and content creation until just two days prior, attending the 2026 S/S Seoul Fashion Week and broadcasting live on his YouTube channel. His wake has been set up at Konkuk University Hospital in Seoul, with his former wife Yum-daeng, from whom he divorced two years ago, and his sister listed as the chief mourners, standing by to bid him a final farewell.

Dae Do-gwan and Yum-daeng married in 2015 and their relationship garnered significant attention, especially when Dae Do-gwan embraced Yum-daeng's son from a previous marriage as his own. Despite their amicable divorce in 2023, citing a better fit as friends, they maintained a supportive relationship, often seen cheering each other on. Following his passing, Yum-daeng has been receiving both comforting messages and hurtful malicious comments online, prompting fans to urge her to take legal action against the cyberbullies.

Born in 1985, Dae Do-gwan began his YouTube journey in 2011, quickly gaining fame for his engaging content in gaming and talk shows.

He was celebrated for his distinctive humor and candid personality, becoming one of Korea's top YouTubers with over a million subscribers.

He married fellow YouTuber Yum-daeng in 2015, and they maintained a cordial relationship even after their divorce in 2023.
