Lee Young-ae Expresses Thoughts on Responsible Broadcasting in 'Jjanhan Hyung' Appearance
Actress Lee Young-ae shared her views on responsible broadcasting during her appearance on the YouTube channel 'Jjanhan Hyung'.
In a video released on the 8th, Lee Young-ae joined actors Kim Young-kwang and Park Yong-woo as guests, engaging in a conversation with host Shin Dong-yup. Upon Shin Dong-yup's greeting, expressing delight at seeing her after a long time, Lee Young-ae mentioned her fondness for singing, hinting at her anticipation for the variety show segment.
When Shin Dong-yup proposed a 'wave' drinking game, Lee Young-ae expressed concern, stating, "My children might see this and think about trying alcohol themselves." She explained that as a parent, she feels compelled to moderate her drinking habits. Shin Dong-yup humorously responded, "If we go by that logic, my kids should be in juvenile detention," eliciting laughter.
Furthermore, Lee Young-ae requested that warnings about underage drinking, often seen on YouTube, be displayed for a longer duration, emphasizing that children might watch the content. When Kim Young-kwang jokingly mentioned his role in a drama involving drug dealing, Lee Young-ae reiterated her concern about the influence of alcohol consumption on children. In response, the 'Jjanhan Hyung' production team added subtitles stating, "Adolescents do not drink alcohol" and "Excessive drinking can cause dementia, stroke, etc.," urging viewer caution.
Lee Young-ae debuted as a commercial model in 1990 and rose to stardom in the early 2000s. She led the Hallyu wave with the drama 'Dae Jang Geum' and showcased profound acting in films like 'Oldboy' and 'Lady Vengeance'. Currently, Lee Young-ae is also a mother of two, balancing her acting career with raising her children.
