On the latest episode of KBS Joy's 'Ask Anything', MCs Lee Soo-geun and Seo Jang-hoon offered some starkly realistic marriage advice to a couple who have been dating for eight years.

The 36-year-old guest shared his dilemma: he wants to marry his girlfriend of eight years but hasn't been able to introduce her to his parents. He explained that he works part-time at a convenience store and runs an internet broadcasting channel. When asked about his appearance, which included light makeup, he identified himself as an 'alpha male' and 'tetoman', clarifying that while he wears makeup regularly, he put in extra effort for the broadcast.

He met his girlfriend, a regular customer at a cafe where he used to work, when he was 26. Despite their long relationship, he revealed they haven't been on a single trip because his girlfriend has a curfew. He expressed frustration over not being able to even greet her parents ahead of a potential marriage.

When Seo Jang-hoon inquired about his internet broadcasting income, the guest admitted that after seven years, his channel has only about 500 subscribers and isn't generating much profit. Seo Jang-hoon bluntly advised him to quit if there's no progress after seven years and suggested that the girlfriend's parents are hesitant due to his unstable job and income.

Despite the guest mentioning he owns a house and car, Seo Jang-hoon emphasized that parental approval hinges on stable income, questioning if they'd entrust their daughter to someone without it. He also cautioned against the guest's dream of opening a cafe, stating that knowing how to operate one as an employee is vastly different from being an owner and that such confidence can be arrogance.

Lee Soo-geun encouraged the guest to reflect on whether love or his future is the priority, suggesting that striving for a better future will naturally lead to love.

Lee Soo-geun, who debuted in 2006, is a prominent South Korean television personality. Known for his witty remarks and quick thinking on various entertainment shows, he is often called a 'National MC'.
