The infectious choreography, featuring graceful hand gestures and a jaunty step, hints at an impending 'Mambo craze.'
'Sarang-ui Mambo' is a lively dance trot song penned and composed by trot legend Seol Woon-do specifically for Song Ga-in. It features a blend of mambo rhythm drums, a refreshing brass line, and unique synthesizer sounds. The track immediately entered 'The Trot Show' charts at number five upon release and quickly secured its place on other major music charts. The catchy melody and dance have ignited a 'Mambo Challenge' trend across dance studios and social media nationwide.
Song Ga-in expressed her ambition, stating, "I wanted to challenge myself with a new genre while upholding the tradition of trot." She added, "I'm drawing even more energy from the support of my fans."
Song Ga-in, initially debuted in December 2012 under the name 'Legend Hiro,' struggled to gain significant recognition. Her breakthrough came in 2019 when she participated in the TV Chosun audition program 'Miss Trot,' ultimately winning the competition as 'Jin' (first place). Beyond traditional trot, her background in Korean traditional music allows her to skillfully perform various genres, demonstrating a broad musical spectrum.
