Actor Park Jeong-min, a lead in the upcoming film 'Face', shared his thoughts on taking on a challenging dual role.

The film's press conference, held virtually on the 10th, saw director Yeon Sang-ho attend alongside cast members Park Jeong-min, Kwon Hae-hyo, Shin Hyun-bin, Im Seong-jae, and Han Ji-hyun.

'Face' tells the story of Im Dong-hwan (played by Park Jeong-min), who investigates the truth behind his mother's death after her skeletal remains are discovered 40 years after her disappearance, all while dealing with his father, Im Yeong-gyu (Kwon Hae-hyo), a visually impaired artisan.

Park Jeong-min portrays both the younger version of his father, Im Yeong-gyu, and the son, Im Dong-hwan, marking his first 1-person, 2-character performance. He particularly focused on embodying the experience of visual impairment for his father's role.

Park Jeong-min, whose own father is visually impaired, stated, "Although I haven't lived his life directly, having lived alongside him as a family for a long time, there are certain behavioral patterns I naturally observed." He added, "The preparation and filming process became an opportunity to reflect on my father's life. While I didn't choose this project because of him, it unintentionally became a gift."

'Face' is set to be released on the 11th.

Park Jeong-min garnered critical acclaim for his performance in the 2016 film 'Dongju', winning the Best New Actor award at the 36th Blue Dragon Film Awards. He has since showcased a versatile acting range across various genres, establishing himself as a rising star in Korean cinema. His recent role in 'Smugglers' alongside Ryoo Seung-bum and Kim Hye-soo also left a significant impact.
