New boy group TWS, comprised of Shinyu, Dohun, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin, has earned their first Platinum certification in Japan with their debut single 'Nice to see you again' (original title: はじめまして / Hajimemashite), solidifying their strong presence in the Japanese market.

According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) on September 10th, the single surpassed 250,000 cumulative sales as of August, achieving Platinum status. The RIAJ grants monthly certifications ranging from Gold (100,000 units) up to Double Platinum (500,000).

This milestone marks a new career high for TWS, who had previously received Gold certifications for their debut single 'Last Bell' and their third mini-album 'TRY WITH US'. Each release has broken their own records, cementing their position as one of the fastest-rising K-pop acts in Japan.

Since their official debut in Japan this July, TWS has made a significant impact. 'Nice to see you again' swept to No. 1 on both the Oricon and Billboard Japan charts in its opening week, securing a total of four chart crowns. HYBE's Pledis Entertainment actively supported their Japanese market entry with nationwide promotions, including pop-up stores, cafes, retail tie-ins, and karaoke events.

The group's first Japanese tour, '2025 TWS TOUR ‘24/7:WITH:US’ IN JAPAN', attracted approximately 50,000 fans across 10 shows, with most venues selling out so quickly that additional limited-view seats had to be opened. Furthermore, they are scheduled to perform at 'ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025', one of Japan's largest summer music festivals, on August 15th.

Looking ahead, TWS is set to release a new album in October. Building on the success of their Platinum certification, they are expected to further solidify their reputation as the next breakout act in K-pop on the global stage.

TWS, a six-member boy group, debuted on January 22, 2024. The group's name, an acronym for 'Twenty Four Seven With Us,' signifies their commitment to always being with their fans. They are building a unique musical identity with their 'Effective Pop' genre, characterized by an emotional pop sound.
