IOI 10th Anniversary Reunion: Kang Mina Opts Out to Focus on Acting Career

Fans hoping for a full reunion of the project group IOI for their 10th anniversary will be disappointed to learn that member Kang Mina will not be participating.

On the 12th, her agency Story J Company released a statement explaining the decision. "The planned reunion period overlaps with her upcoming drama filming and promotional schedules," the agency stated.

Recognizing the fans' long-held anticipation, extensive discussions were held with Kang Mina. Ultimately, her desire to concentrate on her acting career took precedence, leading to the decision to sit out this particular reunion project. IOI, formed through Mnet's 'Produce 101' in 2016, was active for about a year and is gearing up for a reunion in 2026 to mark their decade since debut.

Kang Mina has been actively pursuing an acting career since IOI disbanded.

She is currently appearing on the KBS2 variety show 'Twelve'.

Fans can look forward to her roles in the upcoming Netflix series 'Gwirigo' and the tvN drama 'Tomorrow's Work!'.
