The iconic signature pose of BTS member V has become a sensation at a Japanese baseball stadium.

Japanese actor and theater director Takashi Okabe appeared as the ceremonial pitcher at a recent Hanshin Tigers vs. Hiroshima Toyo Carp game. After throwing a perfect strike, he delighted the crowd by performing V's trademark finger heart gesture, affectionately dubbed the 'V-sign'.

In an interview following his pitch, Takashi Okabe shared, 'I was inspired by BTS's V, or 'TaeTae', and his pose.' He playfully added, 'TaeTae threw a ceremonial pitch in the Major League not long ago. My name 'Takashi' can be shortened to 'TaeTae'. I hope people recognize at least one of us, TaeTae or TaeTae.'

V himself had previously captivated Japan with his ceremonial pitch at a Los Angeles Dodgers game on March 26th (KST). His appearance made headlines across the nation, gracing the front pages of major broadcasters like NHK and Nippon TV, as well as the top five sports newspapers including Nikkan Sports and Sports Nippon, reporting it as a 'global phenomenon'.

V's popularity in Japan continues to spread beyond the entertainment and sports industries, reaching into business circles. Billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, Kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro, and top actress Kyoko Koizumi have all named V as their favorite celebrity. Idol group members like Rihiro Ikekaki of INI and Mahiro Hidaka of BUGVEL have also expressed their admiration for V, acknowledging him as a role model.

V, born Kim Tae-hyung on December 30, 1995, debuted with the global phenomenon group BTS in 2013. He is celebrated worldwide for his striking visuals and unique vocal tone. Beyond his group activities, V has also embarked on a successful solo career, further showcasing his artistic versatility.
