Ailee Recounts Terrifying Plane Incident, Husband's Severe Separation Anxiety

Singer Ailee recently shared a harrowing airplane experience and her husband Choi Si-hoon's deeply concerned reaction on her YouTube channel, 'Ailee's Wedding Diary'.

Ailee was on her way to South Africa for a 2-night, 5-day trip, but a typhoon prevented their scheduled landing in Hong Kong. The plane circled the skies for an extended period due to the weather, eventually facing a fuel shortage and making an emergency landing in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

In a moment of panic, Ailee quickly purchased Wi-Fi to message her husband, but due to technical issues, her message cut off after saying, "Honey, I..."

Choi Si-hoon confessed to experiencing intense anxiety upon waking from a nightmare to find his wife unreachable. He became even more distressed when Ailee's location tracker showed her in the middle of the ocean. He tearfully called his mother, expressing his fear of living without his wife.

Upon Ailee's safe return, Choi Si-hoon revealed he had also called his family in the US, crying about the situation. He even went to the airport to pick her up and accompanied her to her schedule, admitting he had developed severe separation anxiety, which brought laughter to the viewers.

Ailee debuted in 2012 and has since been beloved for her powerful vocal abilities. She married Choi Si-hoon, who is of Indonesian-American descent, in November 2022. Recently, Ailee established 'Ailee Company', signaling her intent for even more active pursuits.
