Actor Lee Pil-mo revealed that his mother's exceptional financial management skills were instrumental in building his wealth.

Appearing on Channel A's 'Close Friends' Table for Four' on the 15th, Lee Pil-mo hosted his college friends Kim Min-gyo, Lee Jong-hyuk, and Park Kyung-lim at his home. When Park Kyung-lim inquired about his decade-long struggle as an unrecognized actor, Lee Pil-mo shared that he had taken on various jobs, from advertising gigs to constructing musical sets, and even appeared in the drama 'War of the Roses'. He recounted his earnest approach to acting, detailing specific episodes from his time on 'War of the Roses'.

Lee Pil-mo's career took off with a string of highly successful dramas such as 'The Age of the Married Woman', 'You Are My Destiny', and 'Sons of Sol Pharmacy', establishing him as a reliable and sought-after actor. Park Kyung-lim highlighted his subsequent success in landing major advertising campaigns, and Kim Min-gyo reminisced about offering Lee Pil-mo financial support and acting advice during his struggling days, celebrating his eventual triumph.

Lee Pil-mo further explained that while he isn't skilled with money, his mother possessed remarkable talent in financial planning, significantly growing their assets. He recalled the family's humble beginnings and his mother's dedication, noting that he consistently handed over his acting earnings to her. His mother then invested this money, accumulating substantial wealth. Lee Pil-mo emphasized that his mother's wise counsel played a pivotal role in his acting career.

Lee Pil-mo also expressed profound grief for his mother, who passed away in March 2023. He shared his efforts to provide her with the most fitting farewell and spoke of walking the Jeju Olle Trail alone, cherishing her memory. He revealed that he still keeps the clothes she wore in her final moments, showcasing his deep affection and moving the audience.

Park Kyung-lim offered comfort, stating it was fortunate his mother could see him loved nationwide. Lee Jong-hyuk lightened the mood with a joke about the rising property values in Bangbae-dong, where their family home is located.

Lee Pil-mo married actress Seo Soo-yeon, 11 years his junior, whom he met on the TV Chosun show 'Taste of Love' in 2017. They welcomed their son, Damho, in 2021. He continues to be active in the entertainment industry, making regular appearances on variety shows.
