Actor Lee Jang-woo's Curry Restaurant 'Garae' Closes Doors After 9 Months
Actor Lee Jang-woo's passion project, the curry specialty restaurant 'Garae,' has officially ceased operations after just nine months of business.
Launched last December with ambitious plans and Lee Jang-woo's signature curry dishes, 'Garae' posted a farewell notice on September 1st, marking the end of its run.
Previously, Lee Jang-woo expressed his deep affection for the menu, explaining that his curry offered a unique twist distinct from famous Japanese versions, aiming for a two-stage flavor experience that evolves from sweet to spicy. He also shared his philosophy of prioritizing loyal customers over massive success.
Although 'Garae' has closed, Lee Jang-woo remains a dynamic presence in the food business. He currently manages two udon restaurants, a sundae soup eatery, and a walnut pastry brand, all of which are reportedly thriving.
In personal news, Lee Jang-woo is set to marry actress Cho Hye-won on November 23rd. The couple first met on the set of the KBS2 drama 'My Only One' and began their public relationship in 2023.
Lee Jang-woo has established himself as a versatile actor, appearing in popular dramas such as 'My Only One,' 'Dae Jang Geum,' and the 'Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)' series. He gained widespread recognition for his relatable personality and diverse talents on the MBC variety show 'I Live Alone.' The actor is currently enjoying a period of happiness as he prepares for his upcoming wedding to actress Cho Hye-won.
