K-pop legends BIGBANG are set to perform at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival next year, marking their 20th debut anniversary.

The group's appearance was confirmed on the festival's lineup released by the organizers on the 16th. BIGBANG is scheduled to take the stage on April 12th and 19th (local time) in California. The performance will feature G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung as a trio, with former member T.O.P, who departed in 2023, not participating.

YG Entertainment stated that they approved Coachella's and the members' request to use the group name. Debuting in 2006, BIGBANG dominated the K-pop scene with hits like 'Lies,' 'Haru Haru,' 'Last Farewell,' and 'Loser,' establishing themselves as a premier 2nd generation idol group. Their last group release was 'Still Life' in April 2022.

Despite the hiatus in group music, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung have maintained their bond, appearing as guests at solo concerts and reuniting at the Mnet 'MAMA Awards' last year. Their return to the global stage at Coachella is highly anticipated by fans worldwide.

Joining BIGBANG at Coachella are HYBE's new K-pop girl group Katseye and SHINee's Taemin.

BIGBANG, formed in 2006, quickly rose to fame, becoming one of the most influential K-pop groups of the second generation with their innovative music and stage presence. Members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung have also achieved significant success in their solo careers, showcasing diverse musical talents. This Coachella performance marks a significant milestone, celebrating two decades of their impactful career in the music industry.
