Jung Woo-sung Makes First Public Appearance Post-Paternity Controversy at Buil Film Awards
Actor Jung Woo-sung has made his first official public appearance in approximately one year since facing controversy regarding his extramarital child.
He attended the hand-printing ceremony held prior to the 34th Buil Film Awards.
Jung Woo-sung was embroiled in a paternity dispute last November when model Moon Ga-bi revealed their son, acknowledging him as the child's biological father. At the time, his agency stated he would do his best as a father.
About eight months later, in August, it was revealed that Jung Woo-sung had registered his marriage with his long-term girlfriend.
Jung Woo-sung, who won Best Actor at the 33rd Buil Film Awards for '12.12: The Day', appeared as an award presenter this year. He expressed, "It's always a pleasure to be part of the Buil Film Awards at the Busan International Film Festival."
He humorously added, "However, I regret that I don't have a film participating this year," showing a lighthearted demeanor.
Jung Woo-sung debuted in the 1994 film 'The Fox' and has since delivered memorable performances in numerous projects. His representative works include 'Beat', 'Asura: The City of Madness', 'Innocent Witness', and '12.12: The Day'. He is also actively working as a film director, earning recognition for his directorial skills.
