Directed by Song Hyun-wook and written by Jeon Young-shin, the drama is a human crime thriller that follows the journey of a seemingly ordinary housewife, Kang Eun-soo, portrayed by Lee Young-ae, as she is drawn into the dangerous world of drug trafficking to protect her family.
The first episode will depict the sudden turmoil in Eun-soo's life. Her tranquil existence shatters when her husband, Park Do-jin (Bae Soo-bin), faces financial ruin due to failed investments, leading to their home being put up for auction. To compound their woes, Do-jin receives a cancer diagnosis.
Overwhelmed by her family's suffering, Eun-soo finds herself entangled in a criminal act when she becomes involved with a bag of drugs left behind by the drug cartel 'Phantom,' a consequence of her husband's desperate choice. Her struggle between good and evil is expected to resonate deeply with viewers.
Meanwhile, the drug investigation team at Gwangnam Police Station faces obstacles due to the unexpected actions of a cartel member fleeing with the drug bag. Team leader Jang Tae-goo (Park Yong-woo) uses his sharp instincts to track the suspect's movements, sensing something suspicious near Eun-soo's residence, intensifying the suspense.
With Eun-soo caught in a perilous situation immediately after stepping into a forbidden world, all eyes are on whether she can evade the police investigation and secure the funds for treatment.
