Eugene Grants Permission for Husband Ki Tae-young's Kiss Scenes: 'Actors Understand Each Other'

During the final episode of MBN's entertainment program 'Gabojago' Season 5, actress Eugene shared her candid thoughts on her husband Ki Tae-young's kissing scenes.

On the show, Lee Min-young and Shin So-yul, who co-star with Eugene in the drama 'First Lady,' joined MC Ahn Jung-hwan and special MC Jason for a discussion centered on 'My Husband, My Wife's Business.'

As they toured a luxurious bedroom set that evoked a hotel ambiance, the MCs posed questions about actors' on-screen intimacy.

Shin So-yul revealed that she periodically watches her husband Kim Ji-chul's musical kissing scenes and finds them quite enjoyable.

Eugene chimed in, stating, 'My husband is also an actor, so it's okay. Actors understand each other well. That's why it's good when your spouse is in the same profession. We don't need to speak; just by looking at each other's eyes, we know how the filming went.' Lee Min-young added that when she sees kissing scenes, she focuses on the surrounding staff's atmosphere, thinking, 'They did a good job immersing themselves.' Eugene agreed, humorously noting, 'I actually notice the acting aspects, like whether the angle could have been better.'

Eugene debuted in 1997 as a member of the girl group S.E.S. and has also been active as an actress. She married actor Ki Tae-young in 2011 and they have two daughters. She is currently starring in the MBN drama 'First Lady,' continuing her acting career.
