Choo Sung-hoon, Kwak Joon-bin, and Lee Eun-ji Face Unexpected Halt in Egyptian 'Meal Money' Challenge

Choo Sung-hoon, Kwak Joon-bin, and Lee Eun-ji found themselves in a whirlwind adventure in Egypt for the show 'We Must Earn Our Meal Money'. The latest episode, aired on the 6th, showcased their unprecedented work stoppage due to administrative issues, alongside their exploration of Egypt's unique sights and flavors.

Upon arriving in Egypt, the trio was slated to work at a bakery. However, the low hourly wage, equivalent to about 900 KRW, caused Kwak Joon-bin to express concern about their ability to earn enough. They managed to enjoy a budget-friendly meal of Koshary, Egypt's national dish, for 3,000 KRW at a local market, using leftover funds from a previous trip.

The next day, the team commuted to the bakery via a microbus operating without fixed routes or numbers, where Choo Sung-hoon's amusing role as a 'door attendant' brought laughter. Their work was abruptly halted when the bakery, despite having secured filming permits, failed to receive official notification from authorities, leading to an unexpected end to their labor.

Despite the setback, the bakery owner, showing great kindness, compensated them with the promised daily wage of 270 EGP. The trio then indulged in a camel meat meal, a relatively expensive local delicacy, spending 350 out of 385 EGP. Choo Sung-hoon's encounter with a mysterious UFO and his deep fascination with the pyramids also provided lighthearted moments. Kwak Joon-bin demonstrated exceptional bargaining skills, successfully negotiating a camel ride and resolving a dispute over payment by citing official exchange rates.
