TikTok has announced its global and country-specific 'Song of the Summer' lists, highlighting the most-used tracks that defined the season. The #SongOfTheSummer hashtag saw over 630,000 videos created, spanning challenges, dance covers, and lip-syncs, effectively shaping summer music trends worldwide.

Topping the Korean chart was boy group Lion Boyz's 'Soda Pop,' an OST for the Netflix animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters.' The song sparked a unique dance challenge tied to the film's narrative, generating over 970,000 pieces of content.

Other notable entries included BLACKPINK's Rosé's 'Messy,' which rode the wave of the 'Mermaid AI Filter' trend to claim the 9th spot. The list also featured hits like Super Yankee's 'Ikari Mark' (ranking 3rd in Korea) and Molly, Shenseea, Skillibeng, and Silent Addy's 'Shake It To The Max' (4th), both driving dance challenge crazes. Furthermore, the resurgence of older hits like Black Eyed Peas' 'Rock That Body' (2nd), Girls' Generation's 'MR. TAXI' (5th), and Yang Hyun Yang Ha's 'I Didn't Go to School' (8th) captured attention. Recent K-Pop releases also made their mark, with BOYNEXTDOOR's '123-78' at 7th and Rosé and Bruno Mars' 'APT.' at 10th.

Globally, Jess Glynne's 'Hold My Hand' took the top spot. Originally released in 2015, the song found new life as the soundtrack for a UK travel agency's advertisement, becoming a viral meme and racking up over 9 million TikTok videos and an astonishing 80 billion total views.

Lion Boyz is a boy group featured in the Netflix animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' contributing the popular OST 'Soda Pop.' Their distinctive dance challenge related to the film's world gained significant traction on TikTok. The group consists of members Andrew Choi, Nexwave, Danny Jung, Kevin Woo, and Samuil Lee.
