Actor Lee Seung-hee has made a strong impact in the new Disney+ original series 'Polaris', establishing himself as a scene-stealing presence. In the series, which premiered on the 10th, Lee portrayed Kim Yong-joon, an enigmatic special forces operative whose actions ignite the initial tension of the plot.

'Polaris' follows Moon-ju (Jeon Ji-hyun), a renowned UN ambassador, as she investigates a shooting incident involving a presidential candidate. Alongside the elusive special agent San-ho (Kang Dong-won), who is tasked with protecting her, they confront a vast conspiracy threatening the Korean Peninsula.

Lee's character, Kim Yong-joon, a soldier fiercely opposed to unification, plays a pivotal role by aiming a concealed firearm at the next presidential candidate, Jang Jun-ik (Park Hae-joon), during a peace rally. This single act serves as the crucial trigger for the series' central conflict.

Despite a limited appearance, Lee Seung-hee left a lasting impression with his sharp gaze and the palpable anger he conveyed, amplifying the suspense of the shooting scene and captivating viewers. His performance has already generated significant buzz.

Previously, Lee showcased his versatility in diverse projects such as the films 'Midnight Runners', 'The Divine Fury', and '12.12: The Day', as well as dramas like 'Kiss Sixth Sense', 'Bloodhounds', 'A Killer Paradox', and 'Death's Game'. His role as a threatening figure in '12.12: The Day' and a friendly cafe owner in 'Death's Game' highlighted his remarkable ability to transform into different characters across various genres. The anticipation for Lee Seung-hee's future projects following his impactful role in 'Polaris' is now at an all-time high.

'Polaris' released its first three episodes on November 10th, with two new episodes dropping every Wednesday, culminating in a total of nine episodes available exclusively on Disney+.
