Actress Yoon Ga-yi has shared her thoughts following the conclusion of the MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'The Killing Vote'.

Yoon Ga-yi portrayed Choi Ye-na, a nurse who assists terminally ill patients in choosing assisted death, in the drama which aired its final episode on the 12th. Ye-na's life was marked by tragedy, losing her mother in a childhood accident and being raised by her twin brother, Choi Geon-su (played by Kang Ki-doong), under the care of an alcoholic father. Her sole dream was a simple life with her brother.

However, when Geon-su was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, Ye-na's dreams were shattered. To cover his medical expenses, she became entangled in loan sharking and eventually assisted suicide. In a poignant turn, as Geon-su's condition worsened, he requested assisted death, wanting to spare Ye-na further sacrifice. Ye-na, after a heartfelt exchange, honored his wish by holding a 'living funeral' for him.

Through her portrayal of Ye-na's unwavering devotion to her twin brother, Yoon Ga-yi captivated viewers, eliciting both laughter and tears. The actress particularly shone when depicting Ye-na's complex emotions—anger, confusion, and sorrow—upon accepting her brother's request for assisted death. Her emotionally charged performance, which left a lasting impact, has sparked anticipation for her future projects. 'The Killing Vote' has undoubtedly proven Yoon Ga-yi's wide acting spectrum.

Yoon Ga-yi, who has been gaining recognition for her performances, previously appeared in the KBS drama 'Love All Play' and the tvN series 'Military Prosecutor Doberman'. She is known for her ability to portray nuanced characters and convey deep emotions. Her role in 'The Killing Vote' is considered a significant step in her acting career.
