The stage play 'My Mister,' which portrays our lives flowing through different spaces and emotions in the current of time, is captivating audiences' hearts. Based on ordinary reality experienced by everyone, this production tells us that 'difference' is not 'wrongness,' evoking deep empathy.

This play, adapted from the drama 'My Mister,' warmly depicts the process of healing as a twenty-one-year-old contract employee, Lee Ji-an, and a middle-aged man, Park Dong-hoon, rely on each other. It goes beyond a simple Korean version of 'Daddy-Long-Legs' or 'Candy,' offering an experience akin to piecing together life's puzzles that lead one to learn how to love oneself.

The play tightly weaves together the drama's signature scenes, filling 150 minutes without a gap. Director Kim Jae-yeop, with his profound directorial skills demonstrated in the modern classic play 'Death of a Salesman,' has brought the drama's emotion vividly back to life on stage. The stage direction, which actively utilizes a limited space, allows the audience to feel the actors' breath up close, even creating an illusion of traversing different times and spaces.

Simultaneously, the actors' delicate performances and profound dialogues maximize the audience's emotions. In particular, the passionate performances by Lee Dong-ha and Park Eun-seok as Park Dong-hoon, and Kim Hyun-soo and Hong Ye-ji as Lee Ji-an, enhance the immersion in the play. The comforting words spoken by the character Jeong-hee to Ji-an promise a life-changing experience, filling a void with love.

The theater becomes a sea of tears. Audiences feel as if the story unfolding on stage represents their own lives, experiencing a catharsis that allows them to cry to their heart's content. Lines like "People are not buildings. People are people" encourage the journey to find one's true self without being crushed by the weight of life.

The stage play 'My Mister,' which offers warm comfort and hope to those on the brink of life, will be performed until the 27th at LG Arts Center Seoul, U+ Stage.

The stage play 'My Mister' recreates the emotional impact of the drama while offering a more profound experience through spatial utilization and direction. The actors' vivid performances provide deep empathy and comfort to the audience, leaving a lasting impression even after the curtain falls. This production offers a moment of warm solace and encouragement to those feeling the hardships in their own lives.
