Actress Jin Seo-yeon is facing backlash after posting a tribute to Charlie Kirk, a figure known for his far-right views and association with the Trump administration.

On the 14th, Jin Seo-yeon shared a photo of Kirk on her social media with the caption, “May he rest in peace.”

Kirk, the founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, was reportedly killed in a shooting incident on November 10th while giving a speech at Utah Valley University. He had been a vocal proponent of gun rights and had frequently courted controversy for his rhetoric, which critics often denounced as promoting hate and discrimination.

This incident follows a similar controversy involving Super Junior member Choi Si-won, who also posted a tribute to Kirk on social media earlier this month but later deleted it after facing public criticism.

Jin Seo-yeon's post has ignited heated debate online, with netizens divided over her decision to commemorate the controversial individual.

Meanwhile, Jin Seo-yeon is scheduled to appear in the upcoming TV Chosun weekend mini-series 'No More Next Life,' set to premiere in November.

Jin Seo-yeon made her acting debut in the 2007 film 'Hwang Jin-yi.' She has since appeared in numerous acclaimed dramas and films, including 'My Love from the Star,' 'Mother,' and 'Beyond Evil.' Her powerful portrayal of a drug lord's consort in the movie 'Believer' earned her widespread critical acclaim.
