
Son Ye-jin on Attending BIFF as Lead of Opening Film 'Nothing to Lose': 'Unforgettable Day'
Actress Son Ye-jin shared her feelings about visiting Busan for the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), where her film 'Nothing to Lose' was selected as the opening movie.
Attending the press preview and press conference held at the Busan Cinema Center on the 17th, Son Ye-jin discussed the film with director Park Chan-wook and fellow actors Lee Byung-hun, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, and Yum Hye-ran.
Expressing her honor at being selected as the opening film, she said, 'I am so happy to present the opening film at the Busan Film Festival with my movie. I am excited to watch it with the general audience for the first time and eagerly anticipate their reactions. I feel like this day will be unforgettable.'
The film 'Nothing to Lose' is set to be released on the 24th, and the 30th BIFF will run until October 26th in the vicinity of the Busan Cinema Center.
Son Ye-jin debuted in the 2001 sitcom 'Honey Honey,' marking the beginning of her acting career. From her early days, she garnered attention for her stable acting skills and actively participated in various projects. She solidified her status as the queen of romantic comedies through numerous hit dramas such as 'Summer Scent,' 'My Lovely Sam Soon,' and 'Personal Taste.' Later, she expanded her acting spectrum by crossing genres in films like 'The Classic,' 'The Last Day,' and 'The Negotiation.'
