Actress Han So-hee shared her thoughts on her collaboration with Jeon Jong-seo in the film 'Project Y' during an open talk session at the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

The open talk event, held on the outdoor stage of the Busan Cinema Center on the morning of October 18th, featured director Lee Hwan and cast members Han So-hee, Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Sung-cheol, Jung Young-ju, Lee Jae-gyoon, and YooA (from OH MY GIRL) from 'Project Y'.

'Project Y' tells the story of Mi-seon (Han So-hee) and Do-kyung (Jeon Jong-seo), who have only each other, as they steal hidden money and gold bars to escape their desperate reality. The film had previously garnered attention by being officially invited to the Special Presentations section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival.

As the greetings began, the audience erupted with cheers of "Han So-hee, fighting!", eliciting laughter. Han So-hee responded to the fans' support with a smile. Reflecting on the local reactions in Toronto, she said, "We also had many scenes that we filmed while laughing. I especially remember filming the scenes with Suk-gu (Lee Jae-gyoon) with great enjoyment. It was very rewarding when everyone laughed along during those scenes, making the movie more enjoyable to watch. It was actually our first proper viewing at the Toronto Film Festival. The response was very good. They laughed at the right points, which made for a great atmosphere when the film was screened," she expressed her pride.

'Project Y' also proved its high anticipation at the 30th BIFF, selling out all tickets simultaneously upon their release. Han So-hee explained her reason for choosing 'Project Y': "When I read the script, I felt that the story of these youths was grounded in reality." She particularly emphasized, "Mi-seon and Do-kyung have different methods but the same goal. The way they dive headfirst into achieving that goal, regardless of the consequences, felt very fresh to me."

Regarding her chemistry with Jeon Jong-seo, she stated, "Do-kyung and Mi-seon have a relationship that can break the saying 'blood is thicker than water.' Ultimately, both Do-kyung and Mi-seon have the same clear goal for the life they dream of. I believe this has led to a strong, mutually supportive relationship as they've lived their lives."

Han So-hee made a significant impact on audiences with her acting as the villain Yeo Da-kyung in the 2020 drama 'The World of the Married', showcasing a maturity beyond her status as a newcomer. She has since demonstrated a wide acting spectrum by attempting bold transformations in various works like 'Nevertheless', 'My Name', and 'Sound of Music'. Notably, her recent performance in the Disney+ series 'A Shop for Killers' received critical acclaim, positioning her as a rising action star.
