Actor Jung Woo-sung is set to make his first official public appearance in approximately a year, following recent discussions regarding his personal life.

He is scheduled to attend the 34th Buil Film Awards Handprinting Ceremony at the Signiel Grand Ballroom in Busan on the 18th, as last year's Best Actor award recipient. Last year, Jung took home the trophy for his role in the film '12.12: The Day,' and he will share the stage with fellow awardees including Kim Keum-soon, Lim Ji-yeon, Lee Joon-hyuk, Shin Hye-sun, and Jung Soo-jung.

This marks Jung Woo-sung's first public appearance since the 'out-of-wedlock child controversy' surfaced last November. At the time, he acknowledged being the biological father of the child born to model Moon Ga-bi, drawing significant public attention. Moon Ga-bi had chosen to be a single mother without a formal romantic relationship, and Jung pledged financial support as a father.

Further adding to the public interest, it was revealed in August of this year that Jung had completed a marriage registration with a non-celebrity partner. While his agency cited 'personal privacy' and refrained from detailed comments, industry sources suggested a 'top-secret marriage with a long-term partner.'

The Buil Film Awards, established in 1958, is the oldest film award in Korea and stands as a symbol of Korean cinema's prestige alongside the Busan International Film Festival. This year's event is expected to be particularly vibrant, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Busan International Film Festival, which will see a large turnout of top stars like Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Kim Yoo-jung, and Han So-hee.

Jung Woo-sung debuted in the 1994 film 'The Fox with Nine Tails,' quickly establishing himself as a leading figure in Korean cinema. His acting prowess has been consistently recognized across a diverse filmography, with his recent performance in '12.12: The Day' further solidifying his versatility. Beyond his acting career, he has also ventured into directing, showcasing a multifaceted talent.
