OH MY GIRL's Mimi on Love: 'No One is Approaching Me!'
OH MY GIRL's Mimi recently revealed her candid thoughts on relationships and her ideal type during an appearance on TV Chosun's 'The Traveling Chef'.
Joining host Huh Young-man in Hoengseong, Gangwon Province, Mimi was playfully teased by the veteran broadcaster, who remarked that he likely wouldn't be called 'teacher' for the first time in seven years by his guest. Mimi then entered, calling him 'uncle' and revealing herself as a fan of the show, as well as the niece of Huh Young-man, having previously worked with him on KBS 2TV's 'K-Food Show: Taste of the Nation'.
When asked by Huh Young-man why she, at 30 years old, wasn't dating, Mimi replied without hesitation, "There's no reason." She elaborated, "First of all, there's no one around me who is actively approaching me," adding that she doesn't receive much attention.
Mimi also shared her firm views on how relationships should develop. Regarding her ideal type, she stated, "If we don't meet like childhood friends, get to know each other inside out, and naturally fall in love, I don't think I'll date."
Specifically, Mimi pointed to the character 'Yang Gwan-sik' from the drama 'When My Heart Sings' (폭싹 속았수다) as her ideal type. Yang Gwan-sik was a beloved character known for his steadfast and unwavering devotion to one woman. Discussing this character, Mimi couldn't hide her bright smile, exclaiming, "Just imagining it makes me happy. How cool is that?"
Korean netizens have responded warmly to Mimi's honest confession. Many fans expressed sympathy, commenting things like 'It's okay, Mimi, you're still beautiful!' and praising her straightforwardness. Some also joked that her ideal type, Yang Gwan-sik, is a rare find these days.
