Park Si-hoo's legal team refutes affair allegations; vows firm action against defamation

Park Si-hoo's legal representatives have released an update on the legal proceedings concerning defamatory accusations against the actor.

Hyemyung Law Firm, representing Park Si-hoo, stated on the 21st: "Park Si-hoo filed a lawsuit against an individual who posted malicious and false content on their social media in August, accusing them of violating information and communication network laws by spreading false information that harms reputation. An investigation is currently underway."

"The claim that 'actor Park Si-hoo introduced a woman to a married man and contributed to the breakup of a family,' as posted by the accused, is clearly false and baseless," the firm added.

The actor's team explained: "This incident began when the accused entered the home of the victim's divorced ex-husband, stole his mobile phone, and then maliciously edited and posted various conversations and photo files stored within on social media."

"In relation to this, the accused's ex-husband also filed a complaint against the accused, and the police recently forwarded the case to the prosecution after acknowledging the charges of spreading false information filed by the ex-husband."

They emphasized: "This indicates that the investigative authorities have confirmed the accused's posts to be false or distorted. As the posts against the ex-husband and actor Park Si-hoo are based on the same context and evidence, and given that the charges in the ex-husband's case have been acknowledged, it is evident that the charges in the case filed by actor Park Si-hoo will also be acknowledged."

Park Si-hoo's team stated: "We will take a firm stance against any unfounded rumors and malicious slander that severely damage Park Si-hoo's reputation, without any leniency or settlement."

"We once again emphasize that we will pursue all fake news and false facts that are indiscriminately created and spread online to the very end, and will seek strict legal accountability."

Meanwhile, Park Si-hoo is set to make his screen comeback after nearly 10 years with the new film 'God's Orchestra' (신의악단), scheduled for release on December 31st.
