Singer Kim Jong-kook has shared intimate details surrounding his upcoming wedding, shedding light on why his mother has been absent from the popular reality show 'My Little Old Boy.' In a recent YouTube video uploaded on the 'Gym Jong Kook' channel, titled "The Day the Tiger Gets Married... (Feat. Running Man, Dragon Year Club, Jonathan, Kang Hoon, Joo Woo-jae, Seo Jang-hoon, Shorry, etc.)," Kim Jong-kook addressed his fans directly.

Expressing gratitude for the congratulatory messages, Kim Jong-kook explained the hectic nature of his wedding preparations, stating, "I had to take time off due to the tight schedule. I filmed content in advance, so I couldn't possibly fill this week's schedule." He also revealed that a video prepared for the wedding ceremony, announcing his marriage to acquaintances including Yoo Jae-suk, would be shared on his channel as it couldn't be played at the venue due to decorations.

The video featured a scene where Kim Jong-kook surprised his staff at his Turbo JK Company office with the news of his impending marriage. The team expressed shock, disbelieving his announcement at first. When asked about his bride-to-be, Kim Jong-kook disclosed that she is a non-celebrity and that the decision to marry was made recently, leading to a rapid preparation process. He confirmed that his parents were aware of the marriage.

Notably, Kim Jong-kook addressed the reason for his mother's absence from 'My Little Old Boy,' linking it directly to his wedding plans. "I really wanted to keep things quiet because of the wedding," he explained. "We're planning a very small, intimate ceremony with only close friends and family." He further added, "My future wife preferred a low-key approach, and I also dislike being the center of attention, so I even considered announcing the marriage after it happened." This revelation surprised many viewers.

During a phone call with Seo Jang-hoon, a fellow cast member from 'My Little Old Boy,' Kim Jong-kook shared the news. The perceptive Seo Jang-hoon seemed to have suspected something, remarking, "I knew it! Wasn't your mother suddenly absent from the show? I found it strange when you bought a house and things like that." Kim Jong-kook chuckled and inquired about Seo Jang-hoon's availability, assuring him it would be a modest affair. Seo Jang-hoon readily accepted the invitation, offering his heartfelt congratulations.

Kim Jong-kook, often referred to as the 'original beast idol,' debuted in 1995 as part of the duo Turbo, leaving a significant mark on the music industry.
