SK Jaewon, the agency of renowned ballad singer Sung Si-kyung, has admitted to operating for over a decade without the necessary registration as a cultural arts planning business. The company has issued an apology for the oversight.

In a statement released on the 16th, SK Jaewon explained that while the company was incorporated in February 2011, the obligation to register as a cultural arts planning business was newly established with the Public Culture and Arts Industry Development Act in January 2014. The agency claims they were unaware of this regulation and therefore did not complete the registration process.

"We deeply apologize for our lack of awareness regarding relevant laws and insufficient preparation," the agency stated. They are currently in the process of completing the immediate registration procedures and are committed to fulfilling all legal requirements promptly. SK Jaewon further expressed sincere regret for causing concern and promised to operate with thorough compliance with laws and a greater sense of responsibility moving forward.

Sung Si-kyung debuted in 1999 and has since established himself as a consistently beloved ballad singer. Beyond his exceptional vocal abilities, his signature witty remarks have also made him a popular figure on various entertainment shows. His hosting skills, in particular, have garnered significant praise on numerous music programs and award ceremonies.
