‘Judgment’ Delivers Satisfying ‘Cider Ending’ as Lee Ju-young and Goo Jun-hoe Take Down Voice Phishing Ring

The Wavve-Dramax original drama ‘Judgment’ has captivated viewers with its thrilling revenge plot.

In the 5th episode, released on the 8th, the story unfolded with Ha So-min (played by Lee Ju-young), an unknown actress who lost her family to voice phishing, infiltrating the organization and becoming the right-hand woman to boss Ma Seok-gu (played by Ji Seung-hyun). Elite detective Park Jeong-hoon (played by Goo Jun-hoe) also made a tense infiltration into Ma Seok-gu’s business.

Ha So-min disguised herself as ‘Wi Chang-ok,’ and Park Jeong-hoon as ‘Eric Choi.’ Ha So-min introduced Park Jeong-hoon to Ma Seok-gu as a new businessman, leading to Park Jeong-hoon being invited to Ma Seok-gu’s business in China, where he dramatically reunited with Ha So-min.

Using deepfake technology, they altered the voice of National Assembly member Seo Jung-geun (played by Jo Young-jin) to make a call with Ma Seok-gu, successfully securing an investment. However, Ma Seok-gu, sensing something suspicious, held them captive. The situation took a sharp turn when Seo Jung-geun himself appeared.

It was revealed that Seo Jung-geun was a victim of voice phishing 10 years prior. Park Jeong-hoon, who covered the case as a reporter back then, had asked Seo Jung-geun for help to bring the criminals to justice.

Ultimately, Ma Seok-gu fell into a trap when he opened the contract email on his way back, which redirected him to a scam site. Ha So-min and Park Jeong-hoon successfully hacked 5 billion won in cryptocurrency funds managed by Ma Seok-gu. Shortly after, Ma Seok-gu's car was hit by a dump truck, causing severe injuries. With Ha So-min’s parting words, “Go to hell, you XXX,” and Ma Seok-gu losing consciousness, the ‘cider ending’ provided immense satisfaction to the audience.

Following the twist-filled 5th episode, the 6th episode, released today, the 9th, will show Ha So-min facing a larger conspiracy after achieving her revenge. The tension rises as it’s revealed that Ma Seok-gu may be alive. Furthermore, Kim Du-sik (played by Sung Ki-yoon), the chairman of Ilseong-pa who lost the 5 billion won in illicit funds, requests Park Jae-gyu (played by Lee Ji-hyung), the police commissioner and Park Jeong-hoon's father, to find the real culprits, starting to pressure Ha So-min and Park Jeong-hoon. The audience's anticipation is high for the next phase of ‘Judgment’.
