Musical Actor Kai Captivates Taiwan, Showcasing K-Crossover Prowess

Musical actor Kai has once again proven his status as a leading K-crossover artist by delivering a captivating performance in Taiwan, demonstrating his unwavering stage presence.

From April 4th to 7th, Kai participated in the 'K-Stage Showcase' held at the Taipei Performing Arts Center, an event hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization. He engaged with local audiences throughout the entire event, from the opening to the closing ceremonies.

Kai mesmerized the audience by reinterpreting popular musical numbers from 'Les Misérables,' 'Frankenstein,' 'Ben-Hur,' and 'Jekyll & Hyde' with his rich vocal tones and powerful range. On April 6th, he headlined a 'Kai Mini Concert,' performing a diverse repertoire including songs from 'Xcalibur,' 'Frankenstein,' 'Beethoven,' and original Korean musicals, along with pieces themed around Korea, winning over the Taiwanese crowd. The showcase, aiming to attract Taiwanese tourists with Korean performing arts, saw overwhelming interest with over 17,000 pre-registrations, and more than 3,200 attendees enjoyed Kai's performance and other Korean shows across eight separate performances.

Kai, a graduate of Seoul National University's Vocal Music department, has established himself as a premier musical actor in Korea. He has starred in major productions such as 'Les Misérables,' 'Frankenstein,' and 'Xcalibur,' showcasing his powerful vocals and emotional depth. Beyond musicals, he is actively expanding his global reach as a crossover artist.
