Wendy Embarks on Solo Journey with 'Cerulean Verge,' Unveiling a New Era

Wendy, a member of the group Red Velvet, has met with fans by releasing her third mini-album ‘Cerulean Verge,’ signaling a new beginning.

The album, unveiled on various online music sites at 6 PM on the 10th, marks Wendy's first release in approximately 1 year and 6 months since her second mini-album ‘Wish You Hell’ in March of last year. Notably, as this is her first album since moving from SM Entertainment to Awesome Entertainment, it honestly captures her journey of finding her unique musical color.

The title track ‘Sunkiss’ is an alternative pop song blending refreshing piano sounds and clear guitar riffs, delivering a cool and upbeat energy enhanced by Wendy's bright and powerful vocals. The album includes a total of 6 tracks, including ‘Sunkiss,’ ‘Fireproof,’ ‘EXISTENTIAL CRISIS,’ ‘Hate²,’ ‘Chapter You,’ and ‘Believe.’ The inclusion of ‘Hate²,’ Wendy's first self-composed song, heightens expectations for her musical growth.

Along with this album release, Wendy has announced an active promotion schedule. She will commence her first world tour, '2025 Wendy 1st World Tour 'We Are Ready',' starting in Seoul on the 20th and 21st, and plans to connect with fans in a total of 15 cities across Asia and the Americas.

Wendy debuted in 2015 as a member of Red Velvet, showcasing exceptional vocal talent as the main vocalist. She successfully demonstrated her potential as a solo artist with the release of her first solo album 'Like Water' in 2021. This new album, 'Cerulean Verge,' is her first release under a new agency and is anticipated to display an expanded musical spectrum and growth.
