Rookie girl group BabyMonster has set a new record, becoming the fastest K-pop girl group to surpass 10 million YouTube subscribers, earning them the coveted Diamond Play Button in just their second year since debut.

YG Entertainment announced on the 9th that the group's official YouTube channel crossed the 10 million subscriber mark around 1:16 PM KST. This incredible feat was achieved a mere 1 year and 5 months after their official debut on April 1st of last year.

This rapid growth is unprecedented among K-pop girl groups, with only BLACKPINK previously achieving this subscriber count since their debut. As labelmates to BLACKPINK, BabyMonster has often been noted as their 'younger sisters,' but this milestone solidifies their independent global appeal.

BabyMonster has consistently garnered attention since their debut, largely due to their exceptional live performance skills and captivating stage presence. Their popularity has been further amplified by their first reality content, 'Babymon House,' which significantly contributed to their subscriber surge.

Having now collected YouTube's Silver (100K), Gold (1M), and Diamond (10M) Play Buttons, BabyMonster is proving their immense potential as a new generation group. With a staggering cumulative viewership of 5.4 billion and 11 videos surpassing 100 million views, anticipation is high for their upcoming second mini-album release scheduled for October 10th.

BabyMonster is the first girl group from YG Entertainment in approximately seven years since BLACKPINK's debut.

The group consists of seven members: Ruka, Parita, Haram, Asa, Rora, Lisa, and Chiquita.

They were widely recognized as 'monster rookies' even before their official debut due to the immense pre-release buzz.
