Jo Woo-jin Reveals 3 Years as a 'Goose Dad' on 'You Quiz on the Block'

Actor Jo Woo-jin appeared on tvN's variety show 'You Quiz on the Block,' sharing candid stories about his life.

He disclosed his three-year experience as a 'goose dad,' living apart from his family, and revealed that he often drinks alone at night to cope with the loneliness.

"When I go home, there's no one there. I often have wine or whiskey with roasted seaweed," Jo Woo-jin confessed, evoking sympathy.

He also expressed his longing for his family, saying, "I miss my daughter so much, and I miss my wife too." Despite often being apart due to his busy schedule, he is doing his best to minimize his daughter's feelings of absence.

His touching acceptance speech at the 2019 Blue Dragon Film Awards, where he thanked his wife, also garnered attention again. At the time, he said, "My wife has supported me for over 10 years and was a great source of strength during my unknown days," presenting the trophy to her directly.

Jo Woo-jin made his debut in the 2006 musical 'On Air' and is a veteran actor. He has left a strong impression in numerous works with his unique husky voice and charismatic acting. He particularly gained recognition for perfectly portraying distinctive supporting characters in films such as 'Inside Men,' 'Steel Rain,' 'Extreme Job,' and 'Deliver Us from Evil.'
