Actor Jo Woo-jin Kept His Profession Secret from His 9-Year-Old Daughter

Actor Jo Woo-jin revealed the reason why he has not disclosed his profession to his 9-year-old daughter.

Appearing on the tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' on the 17th, Jo Woo-jin shared candid stories from his days as an unknown actor to his current success.

When Jo Se-ho asked if his daughter must be proud of his success, Jo Woo-jin gave an unexpected answer. He explained, "My daughter doesn't know I'm an actor. She's 9 years old, and I believe she needs to fully develop her own perspective before she can completely accept my profession."

Jo Woo-jin then elicited laughter by sharing an anecdote about picking up his daughter from kindergarten while trying to conceal his identity. "I went wearing sweatpants, a mask, and sunglasses, but the teacher was curious, asking 'What does your dad do?' I haven't gone like that again since," he added.

Yu Jae-seok speculated that his daughter might already know, and Jo Woo-jin stated his plan to tell her around next year. He shared that Yoon Jong-shin and director Jang Hang-jun gave him similar advice, chuckling.

Jo Woo-jin believes his daughter will be proud once she learns about his career and intends to tell her honestly when the time is right. He also added that he wants to be a father his daughter can be proud of through his future performances.

Jo Woo-jin debuted in the play 'Dalla, 1960' in 2006 and later gained attention for his unique acting skills in various projects. He particularly made a name for himself with his performances in the films 'Extreme Job' and 'The Man Standing Next.' He is currently establishing himself as an irreplaceable actor, actively working in dramas and movies.
