Comedian Lee Gyeong-sil has revealed a concerning health diagnosis, warning audiences about the potential dangers of weight gain during midlife.

On the broadcast of Channel A's 'Star Health Ranking No. 1' on the 17th, participants underwent tests for obesity related to indigestion. Lee Gyeong-sil ranked third among the participants as high-risk for this condition, causing concern.

The results showed that Lee Gyeong-sil has excess visceral fat and has been diagnosed with stage 2 fatty liver. Furthermore, she is experiencing indigestion due to decreased digestive enzymes, exacerbated by menopause.

A specialist explained, "Although Lee Gyeong-sil's belly doesn't appear visibly large, a CT scan revealed a significant amount of visceral fat." Lee herself shared, "Even a small amount of food causes my stomach to protrude quickly. This has especially worsened since menopause." She attributed the changes to hormonal shifts.

An additional abdominal ultrasound confirmed the presence of fatty liver. The specialist noted, "Comparing the color of the liver and kidneys, the liver appears white due to fat accumulation. This is considered moderate stage 2 fatty liver, even more severe than comedian Ji Suk-jin's condition, requiring immediate weight loss."

Lee Gyeong-sil mentioned, "Lately, I've been eating less because I feel like my digestion isn't as good as before." However, the specialist emphasized, "For middle-aged women, menopause can accelerate the decrease in digestive enzyme secretion, reduce food breakdown ability, and lead to fatty liver and gut dysbiosis."

Lee Gyeong-sil, a veteran comedian, began her career in the 1980s and has since become a beloved figure in the entertainment industry. Her sharp wit and candid personality have brought immense laughter to audiences. Recently, she has been appearing on health-related programs, openly discussing her health status and connecting with fans.
