Singer Shin Sung Reveals Volunteer Work at Daejeon Nursing Home: 'Reminded Me of My Late Grandmother'

Singer Shin Sung confessed to working a day-labor job at a nursing home in Daejeon during his appearance on SBS Power FM's '2 O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show' (hereafter 'Cultwo Show').

Making his return to 'Cultwo Show' for the first time in about six months since his appearance last April, Shin Sung joined creator Lalal and singer Kim Tae-hyun for the 'Love's Cult Center' corner.

During the broadcast, Shin Sung drew attention by revealing that he had appeared on the Chungbuk Jecheon episode of 'National Singing Contest'. When Lalal asked about the difficulty of appearing on the show, Shin Sung replied, 'It's the dream stage for trot singers,' and confirmed he received a casting offer.

Furthermore, staying true to his image as a 'son of Chungcheong Province,' Shin Sung shared that he worked as a day laborer at a nursing home in Daejeon. He personally applied facial massage packs and nail polish according to the preferences of the elderly mothers at the 24-hour care center.

Shin Sung shared, 'The mothers were so happy, like young girls. It made me think of my late grandmother, and I got choked up.' He added, 'I decided I must paint my mother's nails during the holidays.'

Meanwhile, Shin Sung performed his song 'Spicy You,' earning enthusiastic cheers from the audience who called him the 'Idol of the Trot Scene!'
