Shinhwa's Kim Dong Wan Expresses Discomfort with Variety Show Appearances: 'I Can't Make People Laugh, Nor Do I Want to Share My Past'

Kim Dong Wan, a member of the iconic K-pop group Shinhwa, has publicly voiced his strong reluctance towards variety show invitations, stating he lacks the comedic talent and the desire to revisit personal history.

In a social media post on the 4th, Kim Dong Wan explicitly requested to stop receiving such offers. He explained, "I don't have the confidence to be funny, nor do I want to share my true stories in front of the public." He elaborated, "Digging up the past only leaves me with scars. Can't I just live quietly, pretending to be happy and successful? I wish to be left alone."

Kim Dong Wan further conveyed his frustration, stating, "If I make an excuse about my schedule three times, please stop the offers." He added, "Of course, I understand these might be assignments from higher up." Notably, Kim Dong Wan recently appeared on MBC's 'Radio Star' on the 27th of last month.

Kim Dong Wan debuted in 1998 as a member of the legendary K-pop group Shinhwa, marking his entry into the entertainment industry. He has also actively pursued acting, showcasing diverse charms in dramas and musicals. As a solo artist, he continues to engage in music activities, receiving consistent affection from fans.
