Singer Park Ki-young has candidly shared her views on marriage and divorce. In a YouTube video on the channel ‘Solbi Is Back,’ uploaded on the 7th, Park Ki-young advised Solbi on three essential checklists for before marriage, emphasizing the difficulties of divorce.

Park stated, "Divorce is incredibly difficult and painful, causing immense hurt to both parties." She cautioned against trying to change one's partner before marriage, advising, "Don't have expectations. Neither you nor they can change each other. You need to meet someone with similar defense mechanisms." She stressed the necessity of a significant 'pre-marital deliberation period' rather than a 'divorce preparation period.'

Her three essential checklists included: 1. Cohabitation, 2. Open discussions about family matters, and 3. Financial matters and a marriage contract. Regarding finances, she asserted the need for a marriage contract detailing each person's assets and stipulating that neither party will claim the other's assets in case of divorce. She elaborated, "If the other person no longer loves me, the contract is voided. The conclusion is about assets."

Furthermore, Park emphasized that true partnership is revealed not when things are good, but by the "ability to endure unhappiness together." She concluded by offering warm encouragement to Solbi, saying, "When you love someone and decide to marry them, focus only on that person. Don't be afraid."

Park Ki-young married a lawyer one year her senior in 2010 and had a daughter, but they divorced in 2015. She remarried in 2017 to tango choreographer Han Geu-reum, one year her senior, whom she met on KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Songs.' Sadly, after approximately five years of marriage, Park Ki-young and Han Geu-reum decided to part ways around 2023, with the news surfacing belatedly in March.
