Actor Kang Hong-seok is set to once again captivate audiences with his portrayal of Lola in the musical "Kinky Boots." Selected for the role for the sixth consecutive time since the show's Korean premiere in 2014, Kang Hong-seok is poised to reignite the "Kinky Boots" phenomenon, promising a performance filled with deep emotion and vibrant energy.

"Kinky Boots" is a critically acclaimed musical based on the true story of a struggling shoe factory that finds an unlikely path to survival by producing "kinky boots" for the drag queen community. The show, with direction by Jerry Mitchell and music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, has garnered numerous awards worldwide. Kang Hong-seok embodies Lola, a fierce drag queen who embraces her true identity against societal prejudice. Having been praised by director Jerry Mitchell as his "most cherished Korean actor" since the 2014 premiere, anticipation is high for his fresh interpretation of the iconic character.

Kang Hong-seok has a rich theatrical resume, including "Street Life," "Death Note," and "Elisabeth," where he consistently delivered powerful vocal performances and compelling acting.
