Rookie girl group ILLIT is making waves in Japan, topping major music charts with their debut single and solidifying their status as a rising K-pop force.

The group's first Japanese single, 'Toki Yo Tomare', impressively secured the second position on both the Oricon weekly combined singles ranking and the weekly singles ranking. This achievement, based on CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming numbers, highlights ILLIT's rapid growth and strong fan engagement since their debut.

Further cementing their popularity, 'Toki Yo Tomare' also ranked second on Billboard Japan's Top Singles Sales chart. The title track itself entered the comprehensive song chart, 'Hot 100', at number four, demonstrating a successful penetration into the Japanese music market.

The music video for the title track has also garnered significant attention, reaching the top spots on Line Music's real-time, daily, and weekly music video charts. The visually stunning video, reminiscent of a coming-of-age film, has further amplified ILLIT's unique charm and concept execution.

Beyond chart success, ILLIT has also impressed on Japanese television. They delivered a captivating band version performance of 'Toki Yo Tomare' on NHK's music show 'Utacon', showcasing stable live vocals and a trendy styling, notably featuring stylish eyewear. Additionally, their appearance on TBS's popular morning show 'LOVE it!' charmed local audiences with their witty humor and relatable persona.

Adding to their achievements, ILLIT was selected as the opening special artist for the 'Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 AUTUMN/WINTER', Japan's largest fashion festival. They also recently performed on the main stage of the 'ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025', signaling their strong demand for major festival appearances and confirming their global appeal.

ILLIT is a five-member girl group managed by Belift Lab, a subsidiary of HYBE Corporation, and debuted in March 2024.

The group's name, 'ILLIT', is derived from the phrase 'Whatever I want, I can do it', symbolizing their proactive spirit.

Their debut song 'Magnetic' quickly gained immense popularity, establishing them as one of the most noteworthy rookies of 2024.
