Park Cho-rong, the leader of the popular K-pop group Apink, is set to make a significant return to the acting scene after a three-year hiatus. Her agency, IST Entertainment, confirmed on the 11th that she has been cast in the upcoming season 2 of the quirky comedy drama 'Advertising Agency: Jjijj' ('종합광고대행사: 찌찌'), specifically in the 'Temperature of Advertising' ('광고의 온도 편') installment.

The drama, which draws inspiration from the webtoon 'Office on the 2nd Floor of the Butcher Shop,' garnered considerable attention with its first season. It achieved second place in the comedy drama category on the OTT platform Wavve and even won the 'Best Webseries 2024' award at the Scientifica Webseries & Film Festival Lima in Peru, highlighting its critical acclaim both domestically and internationally.

In season 2, Chorong will portray Min-ju, a pivotal character responsible for coordinating the internal dynamics of the Jjijj team. Her role is expected to inject fresh energy into the narrative as she navigates a complex character with both a warm exterior and a cool, sharp interior, showcasing a more mature and profound acting performance.

Chorong has previously demonstrated her versatility beyond her music career, with notable acting roles including special appearances in tvN's 'Reply 1997' and 'A Poem a Day.' She also took on leading roles in the film 'Unstable Family' and dramas such as 'Ni Almost 30' and 'Love Protocol.'

Anticipation is high for how Chorong will interpret the B-grade comedy genre in this new venture. 'Advertising Agency: Jjijj' season 2, 'Temperature of Advertising' is slated to begin filming this month and is scheduled for official release on major OTT platforms in 2026.

Park Cho-rong is the leader and main dancer of Apink, known for her multifaceted talents extending to acting, hosting, and variety shows.

She signed an exclusive contract with IST Entertainment in 2023, signaling a new chapter in her career.
