Rookie group CORTIS has ignited the K-pop scene by showcasing the signature 'Big Hit Music-style hip-hop' with their follow-up track 'FaSHioN'.

During their performance on Mnet's 'M Countdown', the five members, Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, and Gunho, dominated the stage with overwhelming energy and powerful choreography. Despite the demanding moves, their stable live vocals and confident expressions proved their natural stage presence.

The song 'FaSHioN' was first unveiled at the release party for their debut EP, [COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES], where it received such a fervent response that it was performed three times, including an encore. The track has also garnered attention from international music figures, with UK rapper Skepta sharing a video of the performance on social media.

Critics are hailing CORTIS's 'FaSHioN' as a revival of the intense hip-hop sound that characterized Big Hit Music's early days, reminiscent of BTS's debut era. The group's lyrics, such as 'My tee, my 5 bucks pants, 10,000 won,' and 'Why aren't you coming these days / Feeling offended Grandma Dongmyo,' and 'Foreign talk, exchange rate goes up every day / Second-hand find,' vividly capture the lifestyle and concerns of contemporary teenagers, fostering relatable connections.

As the latest group to debut under Big Hit Music in six years, following BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, CORTIS is poised to make a significant impact.

CORTIS is a five-member boy group consisting of Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, and Gunho.

They are signed under Big Hit Music, a label within HYBE Corporation, and released their debut EP '[COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES]' on October 18, 2023.

Their group name 'CORTIS' is inspired by 'Cortical,' referring to the cerebral cortex, signifying their ambition to stimulate listeners' emotions and minds through music.
