Hollywood actor Chris Pratt, K-pop idol Choi Siwon of Super Junior, and popular YouTuber Haejoo are facing significant criticism after expressing condolences for the late Charlie Kirk, a far-right American political commentator.

Pratt posted on his personal social media on the 11th, stating he was praying for Kirk and his family. However, this act sparked backlash, as Kirk was known for his extremely conservative stance on gun control, even once referring to annual gun violence deaths as a 'reasonable price' to pay for the Second Amendment. Critics questioned Pratt's decision to mourn someone with such views, with some even calling for his dismissal from Marvel.

Similarly, Choi Siwon initially shared a tribute image for Kirk but later removed it due to public outcry. YouTuber Haejoo, who boasts nearly 840,000 subscribers, apologized after it was revealed she had 'liked' content related to Kirk. She explained that her actions stemmed from ignorance about his political stances and expressed sincere regret.

Chris Pratt is widely recognized for his role as Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's 'Guardians of the Galaxy' franchise. He has also starred as the lead in the 'Jurassic World' film series, solidifying his status as an action star. Beyond his acting career, Pratt is known for openly expressing his religious beliefs and engaging with fans on various platforms.
