Hwang Sung-bin Joins Netflix's 'Praying Mantis' Alongside Im Si-wan and Park Gyu-young

Actor Hwang Sung-bin is continuing his non-stop acting career and has confirmed his next project. His agency, P&B Entertainment, announced on the 22nd that Hwang Sung-bin will be appearing in the Netflix original film ‘Praying Mantis’.

‘Praying Mantis’ is an action film depicting the fierce survival competition in the world of assassins where all rules have collapsed. As a spin-off sharing the universe with the Netflix film ‘The Killers’ (also known as ‘Killing Eve’), it portrays the battle for the top spot among the A-class killer Praying Mantis (Im Si-wan), his rival Jae-i (Park Gyu-young), and the legendary killer Dok-go (Jo Woo-jin).

Hwang Sung-bin is set to play the role of ‘Ppumppai’, a killer belonging to the Praying Mantis Company. Ppumppai is a character with a charming twist, possessing a large physique but exhibiting unexpected timidity.

Previously, Hwang Sung-bin left a strong impression as Kim Ju-yang of the rugby team in the SBS drama ‘Try: We Become a Miracle’, and he also made his presence known as the male lead Lee Sang-yeop in the Netflix series ‘Baby Driver’. Expectations are high for Hwang Sung-bin’s performance in ‘Praying Mantis’, where he is anticipated to showcase yet another facet of his talent. The film ‘Praying Mantis’ will be released on the 26th.
