Jeon Yeo-been Reflects on First Leading Role in 'The Good Bad Woman': 'Felt Responsibility, But Enjoyed the Process'
Actress Jeon Yeo-been has shared her thoughts on starring as the lead in the upcoming Genie TV original drama ‘The Good Bad Woman’, marking her first title role.
At the production presentation held on the 22nd at CGV Yeongdeungpo in Seoul, Jeon Yeo-been spoke about her reasons for choosing the project and her mindset as the protagonist. She expressed her affection for the drama, stating, "The hopeful message in the script, 'You deserve to be happy as you are,' resonated deeply with me."
She also conveyed her excitement about working with the director of ‘The Kidnapping Day’. Jeon Yeo-been mentioned, "As soon as I met the director, I felt a strong desire to be a part of this project." She added that the character Kim Young-ran undergoing a life transformation after meeting Bu-semi was an intriguing challenge for her as an actress.
While she initially approached it as an opportunity to meet a good character rather than focusing on it being her first title role, she felt a greater sense of responsibility upon reading news reports confirming her lead status. However, she noted that thanks to her colleagues on set, she could immerse herself in the project purely without feeling burdened, vowing, "I will work as hard as I always have."
‘The Good Bad Woman’ is a crime romance about a woman who dreams of resetting her life and enters into a contract marriage with a terminally ill chaebol chairman. She must survive for three months by disguising her identity to escape those targeting the vast inheritance. The series premieres on the 29th at 10 PM on ENA and will also be available on Genie TV and TVING.
Jeon Yeo-been first gained attention for her unique character portrayal in 'Be Melodramatic' and received immense love from domestic and international fans through 'Vincenzo'. She has expanded her acting spectrum by skillfully portraying diverse genres with her distinctive emotional depth and profound gaze. In ‘The Good Bad Woman’, she is expected to showcase a new facet of her talent.
