Hong Jin-kyung Maintains Healthy Relationship with Ex-Husband Post-Divorce: 'Still in Contact Daily'

Broadcaster Hong Jin-kyung has opened up about her life and feelings after her divorce, revealing that she maintains a healthy relationship with her ex-husband, with whom she parted ways after 22 years of marriage.

The latest episode of Netflix's 'The Idol Actors' (literal title), released on the 21st, featured members undergoing various trials to become 'Talk Gods'.

During an interview for the 'High-Class Celebrity Club', Hong Jin-kyung acted as an interviewer for Cho Se-ho. When Cho Se-ho referred to his wife as his 'eternal love', Hong Jin-kyung alluded to her own divorce, questioning, 'Can you guarantee that?' and 'I wanted to protect everyone.' She expressed a touch of bitterness, saying, 'I dug my own grave.'

Cho Se-ho requested Hong Jin-kyung to send a video message to her ex-husband. After a moment of hesitation, during which she commented, 'This will probably make many news headlines,' Hong Jin-kyung sent a heartfelt message.

She shared, 'Honestly, we still contact each other every day. We are very close. Yesterday, Ra-el, Ra-el's dad, and I went out for cold noodles and had a really delicious meal,' she stated. 'People around us seemed more uncomfortable watching the three of us eat, but we were just enjoying our food. We are maintaining a truly healthy relationship. I am always grateful and thankful. He is the dad of Ra-el, whom I love dearly.'

Hong Jin-kyung debuted as a model in 1993 and married a businessman five years her senior in 2003, with whom she has a daughter named Ra-el. She officially announced her divorce after 22 years of marriage in April 2024. Currently, she is actively engaging with audiences through various variety shows and her own YouTube channel, receiving considerable affection.
