Couple Who Called Police on Each Other Reveals Reason on 'Marriage Hell'
The couple known as 'Moomoo Couple' appeared on the MBC reality show 'Marriage Hell' and disclosed the reasons behind their past altercation that led to a police intervention.
During the broadcast on the 22nd, the couple, who are on the brink of divorce, recounted the incident where they ended up calling the police amidst a heated argument. The husband questioned if anyone knew the specific reason for their fight that involved the police, to which the wife responded that he had made her feel like a 'paranoid patient'.
The wife confessed that during one of their arguments, she ended up reporting her husband to the authorities. The husband explained that he wasn't yelling loudly, but the situation escalated after his wife exclaimed, 'I have no one,' prompting the police to arrive. A video of the argument was shown, surprising everyone present as it lacked any loud noises.
He further stated, 'When the police came, they asked about violence and child abuse. When I answered no to everything, the police were taken aback. This happens often.' Even their six-year-old daughter showed no surprise when the police visited their home. The husband attributed this to her frequent exposure to such situations.
Dr. Oh Eun-young expressed grave concern over the impact on the child, stating, 'If mom and dad fight and the police take dad away? It makes the child feel like dad is a criminal. It's really not good for a child to witness that.' She emphasized the detrimental effect of parental conflict on children.
The husband of the Moomoo Couple expressed his feelings of injustice regarding the past police report. He claimed his wife emotionally overreacted and filed the report against him. He also expressed regret over their young daughter's desensitization to police visits due to frequent occurrences. The couple is seeking professional help to mend their relationship.
