Shin Ye-eun, Rowoon, and Park Seo-ham Share Thoughts on Filming 'The Trunk'

Actors Shin Ye-eun, Rowoon, and Park Seo-ham have shared their experiences working together on the upcoming Disney+ original historical drama, 'The Trunk.'

The production presentation for 'The Trunk' was held on the 23rd at the Eliena Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul, with director Choo Chang-min and cast members Rowoon, Shin Ye-eun, Park Seo-ham, Park Ji-hwan, and Choi Gwi-hwa in attendance. The series, set to premiere on September 26th, is an action drama depicting the fate of individuals striving for a better life amidst the chaotic world surrounding Gyeonggang, a hub for all trade and resources in Joseon.

Shin Ye-eun, who plays 'Choi Eun,' a leading merchant of Joseon's top trading company, spoke highly of her co-stars. She described Rowoon as someone who, despite being her peer, possesses extensive experience and a strong inner core beneath a bright exterior. She felt deeply impressed by him on set and believes he has a promising future as an actor. Regarding Park Seo-ham, she noted his profound love and respect for acting, stating that she felt she had much to learn from him, regardless of future projects they might be in.

Rowoon responded by saying he had heard Shin Ye-eun was a very diligent actress. He mentioned that even though he was often in minimal attire, she had to wear many layers, yet she always brightened the atmosphere when she arrived on set. He admitted to being nervous during their scenes together, but Shin Ye-eun's presence helped him tremendously. He expressed his desire to work with her again, considering her a precious treasure.

Park Seo-ham also expressed his gratitude. He felt Rowoon gave over 100% to help him, constantly sharing his knowledge. He was moved by Rowoon's passion for acting, observing him monitor scenes and offer comments even when it wasn't his turn. He added that Shin Ye-eun always suggested script readings and helped him relax on set through conversations and walks, making the environment feel more familiar.

Shin Ye-eun debuted in 2018 with the drama 'He Is Psychometric' and has since built a strong acting portfolio with appearances in popular shows like 'Hotel Del Luna,' 'Emergency Couple,' 'Yumi's Cells' Season 2, 'The Secret Romantic Guesthouse,' and 'The Glory.' Her portrayal of a villain in 'The Glory' garnered significant praise. With 'The Trunk,' she is set to showcase a new facet of her talent by taking on her first historical drama role.
