Ha Seok-jin, Lee Sin-young, Da-hyun Star in 'Full Sprint': A Running Drama Filled with Passion for Dreams

The press and distribution premiere for the film 'Full Sprint' was held on the 5th at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul. Director Lee Seung-hoon, along with actors Ha Seok-jin, Lee Sin-young, Da-hyun, Lee Soon-won, and Yoon Seo-bin, attended the event to discuss the movie, which is set to premiere on the 10th.

'Full Sprint' is a running drama that depicts the journey of characters sprinting towards their dreams, spanning across the present, future, and time itself. The story centers on the intense struggle of Goo-yeong (Ha Seok-jin), Korea's fastest sprinter, as he strives to shave off 0.02 seconds to achieve his dream of competing in the World Athletics Championships. The film is further enriched by the performances of Kang Seung-yeol (Lee Sin-young), a high school student with speed rivaling a soccer ball, and Lim Ji-eun (Da-hyun), who finds happiness in running, adding layers of diverse appeal.

Director Lee Seung-hoon emphasized the cast's passionate efforts, stating, "Last summer, the actors truly 'full sprinted' into this film, just like its title. We worked hard to capture their sweat." Ha Seok-jin revealed his dedicated training for the role of a track and field athlete, sharing, "I started learning to run at the age of 42. Training with Lee Sin-young (born '98) and Yoon Seo-bin (born '99), I built up Goo-yeong's emotional journey." Lee Sin-young, continuing his role as an athlete after his previous work, added that he learned humility through training with Yoon Seo-bin. Da-hyun expressed her deep immersion in her character, saying, "I focused on portraying Ji-eun's happiness when she runs."

Inspired by the real-life sprinter Kim Gook-young, the film's concept originated when Director Lee witnessed a veteran athlete narrowly miss victory. The director expressed his hope, "I want this film to be a source of strength and encouragement for everyone who is running towards their dreams." For Ha Seok-jin, this marks his return to the big screen after nine years. He shared his anticipation, "I hope viewers will be motivated after watching, thinking, 'I started this because I loved it.'" The cast collectively wished for the audience to experience dreams, passion, friendship, competition, and love, finding healing and support through the film.

'Full Sprint' will be exclusively released in Lotte Cinema on the 10th.

Ha Seok-jin debuted in the 2007 MBC sitcom 'Air City' and subsequently gained recognition through numerous works like 'Birth of a Beauty,' 'One More Happy Ending,' and 'Drinking Solo.' He also garnered widespread popularity for his intelligence and witty remarks on variety shows such as 'Problematic Men.' 'Full Sprint' marks his return to the big screen after a nine-year hiatus, heralding a new acting transformation.
