Former professional baseball player and broadcaster Shim Soo-chang has finalized his divorce after seven years of marriage. According to Sports DongA, Shim concluded the divorce proceedings with his non-celebrity wife, with the separation being an amicable agreement without fault from either party.

Shim, who has been focusing on his broadcasting career, is set to appear on JTBC's entertainment show 'Strong Baseball' airing on the 22nd. The program features retired professional athletes forming a team to pursue baseball, with KBO legends such as manager Lee Jong-beom, Kim Tae-kyun, and Yoon Seok-min participating. A recently released teaser video showed Shim making his first start as a pitcher on the show, striking out a batter for the first time in 941 days since his retirement.

Shim began his KBO career in 2004 with the LG Twins, later playing for the Nexen Heroes, Lotte Giants, and Hanwha Eagles before retiring with the LG Twins again in 2019.

Shim Soo-chang, a pitcher who debuted with the LG Twins in 2004, was a key ace for his team in 2010, achieving double-digit wins. He was later drafted by the Nexen Heroes in 2016, marking a transfer. Currently, he is experiencing a resurgence in popularity through 'Strong Baseball'.
